Birthday Festivities

So this year, my dad visited me for my birthday. It was the first time in 30 years he had been to LA!

I picked him up Saturday night, and then I gave up my room to him. Sunday was my birthday. My father and I went to Playa Vista and ran. We did Santa Monica in the afternoon, and my mom called, as did my sister.

That night, we met with the Irish priest we have a distant relationship with and went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory...yum!

Monday, I took him for a tour of the LMU campus. That was cool, but I had class that night. Afterwards, dinner at the Johnny Rockets in the Howard Hughes center.

Tuesday was the tour of Hollywood. We bought tickets for a one hour bus tour, but since we were the only ones there, they had to give us a free upgrade to the 2 hour bus tour. That was cool, we got to see Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and Rodeo Drive. We had lunch at a place in the Kodak Theatre. We then went back to my place in Culver City. That night, we had Italian for dinner.

Wednesday morning, I took my dad to the airport, so he could go on to Idaho to meet a friend.

It was a good birthday! And as for birthday gifts? In addition to getting money from my father and my aunt, I got season one of Modern Family from my sister and Earth the Jon Stewart book from my mother. My friends at school got me a gift certificate to the comic book store as well as a bag of candy. Woo-hoo!!!
