Ye Olde Chopping Block

My New Years Resolution is to stop charging things, and I'm doing okay so far, but I know I need to cut down on my comic book spending. Now's a perfect time, since both Secret Invasion and Final Crisis (except the Legion of Superheroes tie-in) are done.

As much as it pains me, a lot of my series are being canceled, Amazing Spider-Girl and Robin hit me pretty hard since they were the teen books I went to when I was a teenager (hard to believe I've been reading them for over a decade). Also gone are Nightwing, Birds of Prey, She-Hulk, Young X-Men, Ultimate X-Men, and Ultimate Fantastic Four. Once Battle for the Cowl and Ultimatum wrap up, there will be more Bat Books and Ultimate Books, but I don't plan on reading as many as I did before.

Legion of Superheroes has ended but will restart once Final Crisis: Legion of Three Worlds is done, and Flash is on hiatus until Flash: Rebirth. I decided to actively drop Titans, Hulk, and Runaways (the new issues of the last two just came out and I didn't get them). Why do I keep buying books by Winick and Loeb when they keep disappointing?

I'm reading a few mini-series, but not too many. I love Trinity, but it'll be nice when it ends in May, it's weekly, so that'll be four less books to read a month. Fallen Angel is on hiatus for a little bit, but I'm eager for when it comes back. Not just because Fallen Angel is a great book but because

It will place the DCU and the Whedonverse next to each other in some kind of multiverse!

Now all I need to do is stop buying new books.
