I'm Alive!

Hey, everyone! I haven't been able to update in a few days, but here I am, alive and well. My move went great. On Monday, I bought a one way ticket to New York (weird feeling for me) and hauled my bookbag, laptop, and duffel bag to work. After work, I took the subway to Brooklyn, where I will be staying for the next month.

There's a lot to explore in the area, but I get the feeling that I'll be out of here before I know it. It's dark when I get home from work, too, so basically, I've just been trying to figure out what to eat for dinner, and then relaxed. I'm sure I'll be fully settled by the weekend.

It's weird being away from home, I admit it. It's not that I miss it, it's just...an odd feeling. I feel like after a short time, I'll be back at home in my old room using my old computer. This isn't like college, though, going home every couple months. This is permanent. I hope to never have to live under someone else's (one of my parents) roof again.

It's strangely reassuring to have internet access. Although I'm in an unfamiliar setting, I can just go on my computer, and it's just like being somewhere I'm used to. Once I find a longterm place and settle in, I do plan on going out, exploring, and whatnot. But for now, it feels good to have this, and I thank anyone reading it. I love you all except Matt and Megan since you've seen Bender's Big Score.
