So I Survived It

And honestly, it wasn't as bad as I was afraid it would be.

My dad and I drove to Pennsylvania on Saturday morning and checked into the Holiday Inn. We had something to eat, and then my sister came.

We changed and then headed over to this Settler's Inn place, which is where the wedding was held. There weren't a lot of people, but it was held outside under a tent. It was raining, how ironic (not really). We actually stood for it.

There was one woman playing a...uh...viola? Ya know, not as big as one of those bass things, but bigger than a violin. Right, so she did the music, and the bride came in, and there was prayer, poetry, and vows. Over in half an hour, which surprised me.

The reception was a few hours long, though. Nice food, always a plus. The Maid of Honor is an old friend of mine, and I got to talk to her. Man, it's been about ten years since I've seen her. It's kind of sad that we haven't talked since then, but I guess that's what happens when you live in two different states (and she goes to school in Virginia now).

Stayed in the hotel Saturday night, went to a quick brunch on Sunday, and that was pretty much it. So I guess I was dreading it for nothing. I'm more concerned with changing jobs than all that love crap anyway, so I had no time to be jealous. Still, I'm not really eager to go to another wedding.
